Living for God

Basics of the Christian faith
Speaker: Gary Haddon

Series: "Basics of the Christian faith"

Sermon Title: Living for God

Passage: Titus 2:11-13

Summary: Karl Power is a name we don't know, but has popped up from time to time in some very famous sporting events and photos. He is a crazy Englishman who has gotten away with clothing himself in things that don't belong on him, but it's always something good, it's always something that is more prestigious than who he really is.

I'd like to see him do a stunt where he went into a prison during visiting hours and put on the uniform of an inmate, just to see if they locked him up. The scary thing is that they just might. But you wouldn't do that. If you're free, you don't put on the garments of a prisoner.

You and I who have been set free from sin really shouldn't act like we're still captives. As Christians, we don't put on garments of the sinful nature, we don't wear with pride the uniform of a sinner.
