Passage: 1 Corinthians 8-10 (read 10:14 - 11:1)

 

Summary: 1 Corinthians chapter 8 starts with the principle that knowledge puffs up because it is self focused, but love builds up because it is focused on others. The warning is to be careful that your freedom doesn’t cause others to stumble (8:9). Therefore, flee from idolatry and do not cause others to stumble. Again the words to live by are referred to and balanced. Again, the summary is in 10:31 – whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
