Life begins at 40?

Having made 40 not out on the 8th of February this year, many people have encouraged me that "life begins at 40!"
Others have asked me how "it feels" to be 40.

To be honest, it doesn't "feel" any different.
To be honest, I don't see a new beginning because I have entered my 5th decade on this planet.
Having said that, I wouldn't mind 2 new ankles and knees and perhaps a new shoulder joint. At least ones that don't make so much noise whenever I move.

But I don't think life has begun again or changed in any way because of the biological clock.
New life came for me 2,000 odd years ago through Jesus' life, death and resurrection.
Because of God's grace I know now that I have peace with God - forgiveness of my sin and eternal life. Birthdays make so little difference in comparison with the life changing rescue that Jesus has given us.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..." (1 Peter 1:3)
